Freddy vs. Jason (2003)

FREDDY vs. JASON

 

This horror flick is defintely one you do not want to pass up! Hopefully you watched the orginal movies, Nightmare on Elm Street (Freddy Krueger) and Friday the 13th (Jason Voorhees), but if not this is still a film that you want to take a look at. And what do you do with two great horror films with the most villainous and rememberable horror characters? You put them in a movie together to form a epic bad ass horror flick. This film really surprised me with how well they tied the movies plots together and the movie flowed pretty well shocking me with its script and its gory horror throughout the whole movie.

 

The movie starts out with Freddy trapped in hell and is extremely ticked that the families of Springwood have figured out how to keep him out of the dreams of the children of the town. If you remember from the original movie Freddy is a serial killer who has a razor glove on his hand that he uses to kill his victims in their dreams. Freddy then devises a plan to get the town to remember him by finding Jason in hell and manipulating Jason by pretending to be his mother to go to the town and murder all the children. Jason is also a serial killer, but a huge machete is his weapon of choice. His plan works and soon Jason is out killing the innocent again. Jason goes to house of Lori Campbell first where she and her friends  Kia, Gibb, Blake and Trey are hanging out. Trey is the first one to feel the wrath of Jason as he murdered him with the machete. At the police station Lori overhears the story of Freddy and how he can get into the dreams of the people. So what happens next? of course Lori dreams of Freddy (when people dream of Freddy he gains power). The next on Jasons hit list were Blake and his father, and in order to keep Freddy out of the minds of the young teens they make it look like Blake murdered his father then committed suicide. 

 

 

 

 

 

Lori, still dreaming about Freddy, scared tells her friends Kia and Gibb about the dreams (Dumb move..). Lori's boyfriend will and his friend mark then come back to town after being put in an Insane Asylum and escaping after they heard about the murders. Lori's friends then start having dreams of Freddy after learning about him, continuing to helping him to gain power (told ya it was a dumb move). Jason then murders Gibb and a random guy as well as several other people at a rave party. At that point Freddy realizes that Jason is not going to stop killing and the people of the town are more frightened of Jason than him. Freddy then kills Mark to send a message to the kids by leaving a message carved into his back saying "FREDDY"S BACK"

 

 

Lori, will and Kia then devise a plan to defeat Freddy and Jason., first by getting Jason back to Camp Crystal Lake, thus giving him the advantage of knowing his surroundings to beat Freddy . Then by Lori pulling Freddy into the real world by latching onto him in her dream then waking up. To get Jason to the Camp they inject him with tranquilizer and then they themselves take a drug that will prevent them from falling asleep and being victims of Freddy. With Jason being asleep he meets Freddy in dream world, where Freddy is extremely powerful (This is where the bad ass brawling starts to take place) and haunts Jason with his worst nightmare, water and drowning. This is when the fight is interrupted by Lori as she tries to get Freddy into the real world. Jason escapes out of dream world and starts terrorizing the group of teens. As Freddy makes it back into the real world he turns his attention to Jason and they both start to fight to their death (SUPER AWESOME). I don't want to spoil the whole movie, especially the ending, because it was just THAT GOOD so you will have to watch this part yourself to see the gruesome annihilation and see how the end turned out! I know, I know your going to red box or your netflix to watch it as I speak!
